Free Spirit Horse Memorial Appeal is a fantastic project locally, nationally and internationally. By celebrating the spirit of the horse and how it has helped us all through war, sport and leisure. A vision from the team at Gartmore Riding School, Hammerwich, Staffordshire, the project has been an inspiration. Bringing the story of the horse to local primary schools and engaging deeply within the educational system at all levels this is truly a national treasure. It was also fantastic to see the Olympic Equestrian team do very well throughout the Rio 2016 Olympics.

About Free Spirit…

“The project originated at Gartmore Riding School in Hammerwich, where a group of people with a love of horses have come together to celebrate the horse with a memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire.

We have commissioned an artist to create the memorial which will be a life size horse in bronze with an emphasise on movement and strength.” – Free Spirit
